About Us

Hi, I am Susie Black. This is my family—my husband, Randy, and my children, Casey (3), Ashley (2), and Corey (9 months in this photo). I am an Independent Educational Consultant for Usborne Books & More. I have worked in the Educational Publishing Industry since 2000. I started working from home in 2002. After becoming a mother of three children in four years, I found my normal line of work not so easy to maintain as before. In the summer of 2009, I decided to join Usborne Books & More. And Little Readers USA was born.

Reading is a big part of our everyday routine at home and getting great books for our children was a big part of why I selected Usborne Books. I had purchased Usborne Books for my children before and found them to be of high quality in both content and construction. I love that I can involve my family in my work and make my kids a part of what I do. And what I do benefits my family as well. Not only do we get great books for our home but my children get to experience lots of events that are a part of what I do. I hope to inspire a lifelong love of reading, not only for my children, but for many other children and their parents as well.
